Mayo writer nominated for Writers Guild of Ireland Zebbie Award

A Mayo writer has been listed as a finalist in the 17^th Writers Guild of Ireland (WGI) Zebbie Awards.

Castlebar writer Ray Lawlor received the nomination for his RTÉ television series Obituary.

He’s a finalist in the Best TV Drama Script category for the opening episode of the first series of Obituary.

The Zebbie Awards celebrate the best of Irish writing in Theatre, Television Drama, Continuing Drama, Short Film, Feature Film, Radio and Animation.

The awards ceremony, will take place on Tuesday, 3^rd September at The Sugar Club in Dublin.
