Over 200 drivers caught speeding so far in Garda Bank Holiday road safety operation

211 drivers have been caught speeding since a Bank Holiday Garda operation began yesterday morning.

One driver was caught doing 196 kilometres an hour in a 100 zone on the N55 in County Cavan.

85,000 drivers have been checked since 7:00am yesterday.
