Kilmeena appoint Damien Egan as new senior coach

Kilmeena have become the latest Mayo club to appoint new management to their adult men’s team ahead of the 2025 season.

John Reilly stepped down as manager after seven seasons, following relegation from the senior grade last year.

He enjoyed a very successful spell with his home club, guiding the West Mayo men to back to back junior and intermediate county titles, as well as the All Ireland junior title in 2022.

Kilmeena have since appointede Damien Egan as their new head coach.

The Bonniconlon native has worked with a number of clubs like Garrymore, Davitts and Aghamore, as well as Ballinrobe Community School’s football teams.

He will be assisted by former Kilmeena footballers Jonathan Madden and Padraic Moore, as well as former Cill Chomain player Liam McDonald.
